2005
I wanted to capture the essence of both 'Angel' and 'Demon' for this project. I wondered 'how would an angel feel if it were banished to Hell? What would it look like? How would it be transformed?' So I set out to try and create a piece that reflected the lonliness of a fallen angel and it's curiosity of what happens next. Rather than crowd the image full of demons, I chose to give it an aire of reflective solitude. I particularly like the Hellfire creeping up on the bright, vivid colors of heaven - slowly taking away the hues of greens, purples and blues - replacing it with fiery reds and yellows.
This original artwork was auctioned off through Ebay's Giving Works for the benefit of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
